Hi, I am back with another basic used by us all. Sometimes, its difficult knowing which platform to work with and which one will be the most accessible. I have found over the years that the following email providers tend to work well for the blind. when considering a basic email account.
1. GMAIL.
Through the years, Google Gmail has had its difficulties. However, its still the most popular provider to use when one is new to using email as a way to communicate with others. the following is what is perhaps, the main reasons that this is the provider of choice. When creating the account the steps are quite simple, meaning there is no complicated obstacles in any way.For example, you are asked for your name. next, you are asked for basic information, such as your date of birth and your gender. then, you are to create a unique username/password. Lastly, you are asked to give a verification option. Once that is done you have your Gmail account.
2. Yahoo.
Another popular provider is Yahoo. For some this provider can be slightly difficult to use while online. However, its also simple to create as well. Its slightly different from Gmail. meaning, its a must to provide a number while creating the account. Sure, its for identification, but more so annoying when one forgets their password. Yahoo offers, the option of having a password, no password or the ability to use your cell phone to log in. In my opinion, i liked the way it was before.
True enough, there are many options out there, but i personally recommend the above options to most of my visually impaired counterparts. I tend to use Gmail for work/play. Then, I may use Yahoo for business/personal purposes. All in all, its about what works best for you. In truth, if you are new to having an email account or doing anything by email. Then, Gmail and Yahoo, are the perfect options for you. Have fun creating plus communicating in a whole new way.
